Kang Ji Hwan’s agency dispute comes to an end.

Korean Entertainment Management Association officially announced on the 28th that Kang Ji Hwan’s agency dispute has been settled amicably.

The Association, through documents submitted to the media, disclosed that “We recognize that the dispute between Actor Kang Ji Hwan’s former and current agency has been settled amicably and confirm that there are no legal ramifications thereof. With regards to the issue of maintaining the industry tradition, we are working towards a solution with the current agency S Plus Entertainment.

The Association added, “For the sake of the industry, we worked with Kang Ji Hwan’s current agency to reflect on the errors while clearing any misunderstanding.”

Kang Ji Hwan came under fire when he unilaterally terminated his exclusive contract with his former agency before it had expired at last year end and his status of being under dual contract with his current agency S Plus Entertainment was exposed.

The Association was not happy with the fact that Kang Ji Hwan continued his activity without self-imposing a period of inactivity, and pressured the production company of the drama “Faith,” which Kang Ji Hwan was scheduled to appear in, by notifying them that they would boycott by not letting the actors who were members of the Association not appear in the drama. Because of this, Kang Ji Hwan recently withdrew from “Faith,” and the Association officially announced that the dispute is now closed and agreed to a compromise.
